“TO PREACH THE GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR” (LK.4: 18)

Anbalaya Retreat Centre has been started in the year 2013, in the month of June, at Denkanikottai, which is 26kms from Hosur, in the Dharmapuri Diocese, by the Vincentian Congregation. It is the extension of the Divine Retreat Centre, Potta-Chalakudy, Kerala. It is one of the 5th Retreat Centre in Tamilnadu, for the Vincentian Congregation.

“Human beings cannot live on bread alone, but need every word that God speaks” (Mt.4:4), that is to say, not only man needs labour for his living, but also he needs God’s Word in order to get strength for his living. That is what we see in the Gospel of John 15:5 were Jesus says – Apart from me you can do nothing. In this modern world, it is very difficult and challenging to live and practice what Jesus had taught us. But at the same time, it is very easy, when we look at Jesus and have full faith in Him. This is what our dearly Saints did and they are the examples for us. So, let us look at them, their life-style and get strength in order to become more like Jesus, as Our Almighty Father expects from us “Just as He who called you is Holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written, Be holy, because I am Holy” (1 Pet. 1:15-16). Yes my dear brothers and sisters, let us be holy as He is Holy, for this we need Word of God. Therefore, let us read, listen, meditate and live according to the Word of God. May the Holy Spirit help us and Our Mother Virgin Mary, all the saints intercede for us. God bless you all. Praise the Lord. Alleluia.
